Community Integration & Social Health

Community integration is the explicit goal of the CES Waiver, yet NADSP Areas 6 (Community Living Skills) and 13 (Friendships and Relationships) are absent from standard Arkansas CES training. This course teaches practical community mapping, how to facilitate friendships without creating dependence, and how to document community integration activities for billing and ISP fidelity. **What you will learn:** • Identify opportunities for community integration in everyday routines • Use community mapping to identify local resources and natural supports • Support individuals in building and maintaining friendships • Facilitate participation in community activities without creating dependence • Document community integration activities and outcomes
