AR-CNHS — CNA + Home Support Specialist
The clinical pathway. AR-CNHS combines Certified Nursing Assistant Foundations with the Home Support Specialist (HSS) training that Arkansas Total Care recognizes for higher-acuity CES individuals. This is the bridge from direct-support work into the clinical career ladder: CNA → HSS → LPN → RN. Required prerequisite: AR-CDSP I or current CNA license. **What you will learn:** • Apply proper body mechanics and safe-lifting technique for ADL support • Perform ADL skills to CNA-program standards (bathing, dressing, transfers, feeding) • Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes • Apply infection-control standards including isolation precautions • Complete the supervised CNA practicum hours required for the Arkansas registry • Perform delegated nursing tasks under the Home Support Specialist scope • Step into the LPN pathway when you are ready
